The Málaga-Antequera-Córdoba road is the N331, modernised as the A45. At the Kilometre 108 crossroads turn east. Follow the signs to Villanueva de Algaidas for 12 kilometres. Go left down the main thoroughfare of Algaidas: when open country becomes visible turn left, signposted Cuevas Bajas. In l½ km after a blind rightward bend turn right into Atalaya. After a few hundred metres, at the junction with a shop (left) and phone box (right) turn right. When faced with green garage doors turn left and then quickly right. That road swings up the hill: the property is some 150 metres on your right behind an embankment and trees.

THE AREA

The steeply rolling hills of this part of Andalucía are farmed almost exclusively as olive groves: there is virtually unrestricted access for walking, cycling and exercising pets. The town of Algaidas boasts a full range of stores, banks, chemists, lawyers, discos, garages, builders, etc. in addition to education, police, health and fire services.
